Volt presents new art projects by Norwegian and international contemporary artists. Volt initiates and presents exhibitions, time-based media, performances, discursive projects and sound art projects. Volt focuses on artists who work across several media and modes of expression. Volt does not have its own exhibition space, but finds suitable locations for each project. Volt is a curatorial project initiated in Bergen in 2008 by the artist and curator Marie Nerland. Volt is supported by Bergen City Council and the Arts Council Norway. Volt at SUPERMARKET 2012 has received funding from OCA, Office for Contemporary Art Norway.
