Contemporary, experimental exhibitions: paintings and painting based installations, changing every third week. Artists are selected on the basis of applications by the Exhibition Committee, which consists of artists. tm•gallery is managed by Finnish Painters' Union, which is a nationwide artists' association and as such the biggest artists' association in Finland with about 1 300 members. The Union organizes exhibitions and workshops in collaboration with art museums and other institutions. It also sales artist materials at cost price. tm•gallery, locating in the center of Helsinki, has a versatile profile focusing on new Finnish painting. Besides paintings, also video works and installations are shown. The gallery also serves as a venue for seminars and different types of art presentations.
tm•gallery will exhibit art works by four contemporary visual artists:
Henni Alftan (b. 1979, lives in Paris, France)
Arvid Hedin (b. 1979 Gothenburg, Sweden, lives in Vihti, Finland)
Raija Malka (b. 1959, lives in Lisboa, Portugal)
Ville-Veikko Viikilä (b. 1980, lives in Lahti, Finland)
This year (2017) in the Supermarket tm•gallery exhibits three contemporary painters Tiina Heiska (b. 1959, lives in Helsinki), Hanna Kanto (b. 1981, lives in Haparanda, Sweden), Kaarlo Stauffer (b. 1988, lives in Helsinki) and an artist couple Janne Nabb (b. 1984) & Maria Teeri (b. 1985), who are living in Helsinki and in Övermark, Österbotten. Nabb & Teeri`s art works are installations, they use wide range of techniques, their works are in a position to current issues such as climate change.
