SKF Umbrella is a sub organisation of SKF – Svenska Konstnärernas Förening (The Swedish Artists’ Association). Svenska Konstnärernas Förening is an interest group for professional artists founded in 1890 and includes 800 members. Their main undertaking is to manage the exhibition activities and to administer Konstnärshuset which is owned jointly by SKF and Konstnärsklubben (The Artists Club).
KONSTNÄRSHUSET
was built in 1899. The architect Ludvig Peterson was clearly inspired by Moorish and Venetian architecture.
SUPERMARKET presents MEETINGS, a programme which allows participating artists and artists working as exhibition organisers, project managers and other art professionals to meet and discuss various issues surrounding their gallery and the wider art world.
